SUPPORT THE FRIENDS OF SORAUREN PARK

Your gift builds a stronger community. Contributions and sponsorships support free park programming such as our Outdoor Movie series, the natural ice rink, special events and our advocacy work around the Wabash Community Centre. Donations also support capital improvements such as the bake oven and the new digital notice board for the Fieldhouse. The Friends of Sorauren Park is an all-volunteer non-profit corporation run by neighbours like you.

TWO WAYS TO GIVE:

1. Donate and get a tax receipt from the Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation. Select “Sorauren Park” in the drop-down Fund Allocation menu.

2. Contribute directly to Friends of Sorauren Park

What’s the difference?

1. We use our account at the Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation primarily to fund capital projects such as the new bake oven. As a registered charity, the Foundation can issue a tax receipt.

2. A direct contribution to Friends of Sorauren Park means your gift or sponsorship is deposited in our non-profit bank account. These funds help us cover the costs of providing free programming and events. Financial reports are provided regularly at our monthly public meetings. While we are incorporated as a community non-profit, we are not a registered charity and cannot issue tax receipts. (We issue business receipts for sponsorships that count as marketing expenses.)
